Multi-Tenant Architecture

Traditionally, LMS systems for multiple clients were based on multiple portals. An account portal was set up for each customer, with separate branding and rules.

Webanywhere can save costs by creating multi-tenant LMS solutions (using Totara LMS or Moodle as the core technology platform). In a multi-tenant infrastructure, your LMS can host a large number of client organisations within a single instance of the LMS software.

As the training organisation, you can deploy this architecture to enable your clients or partners to access their own unique learning content, visible only to themselves, and specifically enables you (as the training organisation) to:

  • Set up additional client organisations (each client sees only their own courses within the LMS)
  • Assign groups of users to their parent organisation
  • Monitor learner activity site wide - the manager of each course can view the progress and attainment of individuals or groups of learners
  • Manage reporting (across courses and client organisations).

The template driven interface theme can incorporate all custom branding and text changes that your client requires. For example, a standard homepage can be customised with additional Totara features such as RSS feeds to pull in relevant information, a training calendar, guidelines to using the system, forums and more.
